Your online strategy?
Do schools have more to learn when it comes to their online strategy?
It’s obvious that ecommerce businesses need to have a user-friendly website. If they deliver a good user experience, it’s easier for customers to spend. However, schools are notoriously behind when it comes to their online strategy when we compare them to other sectors.
Budgets are understandably an issue - websites aren’t at the top of the list when money is allocated. But the problem with this is that a school website can be a fantastic platform to showcase the ethos and values of a school. And at the moment, a lot of these websites aren’t quite there and are missing out as a result.
For parents, a website can give them a feel for a school, and once their child is attending school – allow them to access important information. School websites should therefore be easy to navigate, and display the right information in the right way.
For schools, part of the job is communicating effectively with parents. Research shows that if a parent is involved in a child’s education, they do better.
So to help schools with this, we created a report which describes what parents want from school websites, and advises schools on how they can deliver without breaking the bank.
We hope you find this report useful.
