Nautical Living

Web Foundry has given me confidence in helping me build my perfect website, they are always there at the end of the telephone and through email, no more waiting for days to receive help. I feel that I have built a personal relationship whereas I can pretty much ask Web Foundry to add/change design parts of my site without the hassle of worrying about it.

I have had numerous web developers before and have only found Web Foundry to be behind me 100% of the way to give me and my business the key features it needs to have a great website!"

Our company has used the marketing and design services of Phil Holt and his team for many years. Phil's integrated approach to marketing means that we have one supplier for online and offline marketing which really pays dividends as our agency has full knowledge of the way we speak to our customers. Most importantly, Phil is highly responsive to our marketing requests and delivers high quality work of value.

Creative Cairngorms

Creative Cairngorms is an association of artists, makers and galleries based in the Cairngorms National Park. The brief to Web Foundry was to develop an aesthetic website to represent the magnificent landscape of the area, while showcasing the wealth and range of members’ work.

It was important that the overall appearance and feel of the website fitted in with the Members Directory which was designed with a palette of orange and russet, complemented by shades of blue and violet to reflect the splendour of autumn foliage and the soft hues of hill and mountain.

The website functions as an online brochure that promotes the area’s artistic talent. Each member entry page, with a link to their individual websites, depicts several examples of work. It directs visitors to where they can view and purchase pieces.
A map of the National Park provides a snapshot of where members are and an index, by activity, helps site visitors search for a particular location or creative discipline.

It was important that the website could be easily updated. Training was provided by Web Foundry on the management content system to enable the Association’s webmaster to regularly update the News and Events pages as well as entries relating to members or the Association itself.

From a marketing perspective the website works on two other important levels; as a recruiting device to attract people working in the creative industries and by creating awareness and raising the profile of Creative Cairngorms.

Web Foundry proved to understand the Association’s requirements and brought to the project sound design and technical ability; qualities that resulted in a site and overall functionality which is visually strong and technically robust.
